With the 2025/2026 season in full stride, our TopSpin athletes have weeks full of intense competition, as they have started participating in the MTTA Junior National Championships 2025/2026.
This tournament aims to let the young players from different academies compete on an individual basis at a national level. With various categories to play in, including Under 11s, Under 15s, Under 19s, and Under 21s, our players can play to their best level against athletes of a similar age. Throughout the competitions, the players did their best to display their skill and competence in the game, putting their tactics into play and bringing out their best.

While many athletes performed well throughout, we highlight the great results obtained by Zack Borg, who became the 2026 Under 11 Junior National Champion. Alice Mariani performed at her best, claiming the title of 2026 Under 19 Junior National Champion. Luke Fenech and Luke Bonello, his doubles partner from HiTT academy, secured the Under 19s boy doubles title, brining another win for the Topspin academy. Michael Caruana, together with Michael Zammit from PBC academy, performed very well in the Under 19s boys doubles, securing 3rd place.

This tournament signifies both improvement and determination for the athletes. With a win, the athlete ranking points are increased, making them push to do better than in previous tournaments. This tournament serves as an inspiration for those who won to train harder to reclaim the Junior National Champion title in the next tournament.
