League weekly Update: Round 2

Last Friday, 20^th March, our TopSpin teams competing in the 3^rd and 4^th divisions started the second round of games in the Malta National League for the 2025/2026 season.

With all TopSpin teams in both divisions having reached the promotion pool, most of the games played last Friday were against our own teams, making the matches friendly but still quite competitive. Regardless, all the teams showed a strong performance that night.

In the 3^rd division, TopSpin TTA “Supercores” won against TopSpin TTA “Skelton”. “Skelton” showed resistance by winning two matches, giving a final score of 4-2 in favour of “Supercores”.

In the 4^th division, TopSpin TTA “Rasanter” and TopSpin TTA “Kanter” both came out on top. Playing against teams from our own academy, “Rasanter” secured a win and overthrew TopSpin TTA “Munro”, with a final result of 6-0. “Kanter” had a tougher challenge, with close matches against TopSpin TTA “Novacell”, who played with determination, but managed to win with a score of 4-2. TopSpin TTA “Beta” secured 2 matches against HiTT Academy “Sports Experience”, but lost to a final score of 2-4.

Teams of the 4^th Division also played their second game of Round 2 on Monday 23^rd March. It was a night of close matches, and intense games, resulting in many wins for the TopSpin Academy. TopSpin TTA “Novacell” faced a tough match against TopSpin TTA “Beta”, with many close matches and hard rallies. They came out on top, with a 4-2 win, securing their first win for the second round. TopSpin TTA “Rasanter” showed determination throughout their games, and overthrew Sharp Shot “Control” in the final doubles match, winning their second match with a final result of 4-3. TopSpin TTA “Munro” and TopSpin TTA “Kanter” played their second friendly match, with a result of 4-2 in the favour of team “Kanter”.

Our 3^rd and 4^th division TopSpin teams are off to a good start. We expect even more enticing matches in the coming weeks, even as our 1^st and 2^nd division TopSpin teams return to the tables.
