Exciting news – Topspin’s second ranking tournament is going to take place on the 29th of November! With a friendly yet professional atmosphere, it’s an excellent place for both beginners to test their new skills, and for pro athletes to battle for the top rankings.

This tournament will be spread out over 5 categories – Bronze B, Bronze A, Silver, Gold and Elite. This gives players the chance to play against others of similar ability, bringing the perfect balance between challenging games yet reachable goals. This tournament will also be working on the new WTT standard ranking system, encouraging top players to defend their spot and others to climb their way to glory. We expect lots of great games throughout the tournament, especially with the ranking shake-up! Luke Fenech currently tops the rankings, with a whopping 7705 points in the elite category. Will he be able to defend his champion title from Ryan Tabone, who is right behind him at 6000 points? In the gold category, Timothy Chetcuti, the first ranking tournament winner, is in first place with 1178 points, yet Jayden Hearn is super close behind with 1140 points! The two might get a chance to battle it out in this coming tournament!
Â

In Silver category, many interesting games are expected, since some experienced players, like Robert Attard and Edward Licari, have fell behind in the rankings and will play in silver. Sean Pace Rota has risen up the ranks to battle in silver, along with Steven Camilleri and Neil Cachia. In Bronze A, Micheal Potros is currently leading, but other talented players like Niki Pace Rota and Zack Borg are closing in on him! Finally, in Bronze B, players get to experiment with their new skills to start climbing up the rankings.

Currently all the athletes are training hard with extra game practise during sessions, so that all of them will bring their A-game to the table! Who knows what this tournament has in store? Stay tuned to hear about the results!
